ArmaSade is a retrofit palisade fencing solution, designed using existing palisade framework and posts and replacing the pales with Zaun’s unique high security woven mesh ArmaWeave. This innovative high-security upgrade to steel Palisade fencing has been designed, developed and manufactured in our own factory in Wolverhampton using an ingenious fastening system which allows installers to fix ArmaWeave high-security mesh fencing panels to the existing posts, without any civils required.

Palisade posts installed to British Standard 1722 are sufficient to support the upgraded ArmaWeave panels as the wind loading is almost identical. In addition, each fixing uses the existing bolt holes in the horizontal rails, so all that is needed is to drill six holes in the posts to secure vertical clamping members.

The vertical members can be extended to allow for a wide range of toppings, including concertina razor wire and electric fencing. As ArmaWeave is self-raking, it mimics the functionality of the Palisade, and the panels can be manufactured to match the height of the existing Palisade fencing.

ArmaSade retrofit palisade is also eco-friendly and highly cost-effective. It requires minimal groundwork, no spoilage and no plant to dig holes due to the utilisation of the existing posts and concrete foundations, making installation quicker and easier.

This retrofit palisade solution can also be installed bay by bay, ensuring the site is safe and secure during the installation.

ArmaSade retrofit Palisade is ideal for sensitive sites in the rail, utilities, nuclear, data centre and industrial sectors and where costs and access are restricted. The removal of the palisade pales, and replacement of ArmaWeave provide the site with a highly secure fenceline with superior visibility for CCTV and intrusion detection.

Gemini Concave architectural fencing from Zaun features a curve effect at the top of the twin-wire mesh system. This curve goes below the height of the post, creating an attractive concave shape. One of three options available in the Gemini range (convex, concave and surf), each architectural fencing style shares the curvaceous styling associated with the Gemini range. Each style, however, is different enough to allow radically different styles to be selected depending upon the setting. For example, Gemini Convex works perfectly alongside Gemini Concave to create a stylish convex, concave wave.

Our architectural fences have the ability to break up rigid fence lines. As a result, they are perfect for aesthetically sensitive areas or shown to the public or customers. The Gemini architectural fences are based on the twin-wire fencing systems Duo6 & Duo8, which use twin horizontal wires to sandwich the single vertical wires.

Each architectural fencing panel is supplied with anti-tamper security fixings and fixed to the posts using full-length clamp bars. The full-length clamp bar makes levering the panels away from the post very difficult and ensures no exposed panel edges on which people may snag themselves.

Due to its strength and great looks, Gemini fencing is ideal for housing, schools, and prestigious projects where the fence needs to be a feature and a boundary due to its strength and great looks.

Gemini is measured at post height, so the panels may exceed that height at the centre of the panel, depending on the style that has been chosen.

Finish

All Zaun posts/panels/gates and painted auxiliary components (for example, clamp-bars, slide bolts etc.) benefit from a protective zinc layer and electrostatically applied polyester powder coating to BS1722 p16. Care is taken with pre-treatment to ensure sound adhesion between the zinc and paint layers. In a UK C1 environment, as defined in ISO 12944 p2, this should ensure a useful life expectancy of the fence of at least 15-20 years. Life expectancy in all environments can be extended by maintaining the fencing with regular washing. Useful life will be reduced if the fencing is damaged. Any coating damage should be repaired to reduce the effect on useful life.

Enhanced painting systems such as marine coatings are also available for improved life expectancy in C2-C5M environments.

Variations for Decorative Fences

Posts are available in different lengths to accommodate panel heights and ground conditions. Additional variations are also available: Wall fixing, cranked posts or base plated. Decorative post finials. Extended posts for CCTV, lighting or physical security devices.

Decorative Gates

Pedestrian gates are single leaf 1.2m wide (or width to suit), framed in a 50mm x 50mm RHS with Zaun Duo8 mesh welded inside the frame, with slide latch. Gate supplied with rubber bump stop and 2 x suitable gate posts.

Vehicle access gates are double leaf (single leaf vehicle gates available) 3.0m wide (or width to suit), framed in 50mm x 50mm RHS, with Zaun Duo8 mesh welded inside the frame, with drop bolts and slide latch. Gate supplied with rubber bump stop and 2 x suitable gate posts.

Zaun’s HiSec 358 profile mesh security fencing uses a popular ‘358’ welded mesh configuration. The close mesh (76.2 x 12.7mm) formation provides anti-climb properties that ensure it is almost impossible to get fingers within the apertures to scale and climb the fence without climbing aids. The attributes of the 358 mesh configuration make it an excellent solution for security applications.

HiSec Profile mesh is different to standard 358 mesh as it features an additional ‘V’ beam pressed within the mesh to add additional rigidity to the panel.

Panels are fixed to the posts and secured using our clip system and security fixings.

The HiSec 358 profile mesh is a visually appealing perimeter fencing system ideal for schools, industrial units, data centres, etc.

HiSec, 358 profile mesh system, is also ideal for integrating with CCTV, PIDs and security topping enhancements such as barb and razor coils, all of which can be supplied as part of a complete turnkey solution.

All of our HiSec systems conform to BS 1722 Part 14 for open mesh panels for quality assurance.

HiSec SR1 fence from Zaun uses the popular 358 welded mesh configuration. Ideal for use in applications where Secured by Design accreditation is required. Therefore, the HiSec SR1 fence system attributes make it an excellent solution for perimeter security applications, including schools, utility suppliers, or anywhere required physical security protection.

The HiSec SR1 fences use the tight 76.2 x 12.7mm mesh configuration, making it difficult to get a finger hold within the apertures to scale and climb the fencing without climbing aids.

HiSec SR1 fence panels are available in 2.0, 2.4 and 3.0 metres in height. Installed using stainless steel tamper-resistant fixings, the result is a rigid perimeter fence that offers a high degree of vandal resistance and an extremely high level of visibility, ideal for use with CCTV and other detection systems.

The HiSec SR1 fence system offers the same product benefits as the standard HiSec, but with added security. In addition, manufacturing is subject to stringent quality control, which means all fences are uniformly high quality.

This system conforms to BS 1722: Part 14: Category 4 and carries certification to LPS 1175 SR1 (under LPS1175 issue 7) and A1 (under LPS1175 issue 8). This is required for Secured by Design and featured in the BRE Red Book.

Duo-8 (A1) SR1 Rated Fencing

Duo-8 A1 rated fencing system (SR1 rated under issue 7) is a double wire welded mesh fencing system, ideal for applications where Secured By Design accreditation may be required.

The SR rated fencing system offers the same product benefits as the standard Duo-8 but with added security and tamper-resistant clamp bars and fixings.

The Duo-8 SR1 rated fencing system has been Secured By Design approved by the Association of Chief Police Officers and Security Rating certification to LPS1175 and entry into the Red Book from the Buildings Research Establishment (BRE), achieving the security rating SR1 (under issue 7) and A1 under issue 8.

The Duo-8 SR1 is manufactured with dual 8mm horizontal wires sandwiching single 6mm vertical wires. This produces a 50mm x 200mm mesh pattern that is strong but vandal-resistant. Duo-8 SR1 is also available in our Dualguard option with 25mm x 200mm mesh apertures, please specify Duo-8 SR1 (Dualguard) when ordering.

The Duo-8 SR1 Rated Fencing system panels are available in 2m, 2.4m or 3m in height and 2520mm wide.

Coupled with Zaun’s tamper-resistant stainless steel fasteners, the result is a rigid perimeter fence that offers a high degree of vandal resistance. In addition, with an extremely high level of visibility, this SR1 rated fencing system is ideal for additional CCTV cameras.

The posts may be supplied using either 60mm x 40mm or 80mm x 40mm Rectangular Hollow Section (RHS). Lengths of 2750mm or 3100mm may be supplied for fixing in the ground (bolt down posts are also available). Each post has spacing at a maximum of 2525mm centres.

Installers may fix the panels to the posts with full-height 40mm x 5mm clamp bars and stainless steel fixings. The full height clamp bars create a flush safe finish with the mesh ends behind the clamp bar. In addition, an enhanced over clip is applied on the uppermost and lowermost fixings.

Suitable security toppings are also available to enhance your site’s perimeter security further.

The Duo-8 SR1 and Duo-8 SR1 (Dualguard) double wire mesh fencing system features a post, clamp bar, and clip configuration, providing a simple and easy installation method. Supplied with vandal-proof security fixings and installed using either power or hand tools.

SR1 Fencing on Sloping Ground

Panels may be stepped in increments of 30mm as required within the clamp bar system. However, it is recommended that the taller panels are either partially buried or other posts are used on steeper gradients.

Variations for SR1 Rated Fencing

Posts are available in different lengths to accommodate panel heights and ground conditions. Additional variations are also available: Wall fixing, cranked posts or base plated. Cranked panels. Extended posts for CCTV, lighting or physical security devices

SR1 Rated Gates

Pedestrian gates are single leaf 1.2m wide (or width to suit). They are framed in a 50mm x 50mm RHS with Zaun Duo-8 mesh welded inside the frame, with a slide latch. Each gate features a rubber bump stop and 2 x suitable gate posts.

Vehicle access gates are double leaf (single leaf vehicle gates available) 3.0m wide (or width to suit). They are framed in 50mm x 50mm RHS, with Zaun Duo-8 mesh welded inside the frame, with drop bolts and slide latch. Each vehicle Gate features a rubber bump stop and 2 x suitable gate posts.

The Zariba ring top fencing system uses an ornate ring top design and optional finials to provide one of the most attractive mesh fencing systems on the market.

This ring top fencing system uses an attractive ring top and the mesh pattern that has been specifically designed to generate an aesthetically pleasing appearance for any perimeter.

Manufactured with twin horizontal 8mm wires ensures that the ring top fencing system is robust and can be used in areas where the system is likely to incur regular impact. In addition, the use of bright colours sets the fence off, making it an attractive feature in any space.

Zariba combines the robust Duo8 platform and a ring top design to provide an extremely durable segregation fence with a contemporary feel.

Finish

All Zaun posts/panels/gates and painted auxiliary components (for example, clamp-bars, slide bolts etc.) benefit from a protective zinc layer and electrostatically applied polyester powder coating to BS1722 p16. Care is taken with pre-treatment to ensure sound adhesion between the zinc and paint layers. In a UK C1 environment, as defined in ISO 12944 p2, this should provide a useful life expectancy of the fence of at least 15-20 years. Life expectancy in all environments can be extended by maintaining the fencing with regular washing. Useful life will be reduced if the fencing is damaged. Any coating damage should be repaired to minimise the effect on useful life.

Enhanced painting systems such as marine coatings are also available for improved life expectancy in C2-C5M environments.

Zaun’s Optima paladin style mesh fencing is designed as a contemporary and non-threatening perimeter fencing system that offers high quality and excellent value. In addition, Optima is designed as a low-cost perimeter fencing solution for a wide range of applications that are not likely to be subjected to sustained abuse, including commercial sites, schools, industrial estates, and more.

This high-quality and long service life profile mesh system visually appeals with a stripe effect mesh pattern, enabling this perimeter fence system to blend into its surroundings.

The paladin style mesh panel is constructed of 4mm vertical wires and 5mm horizontal wires. In addition, it has V pressings along the length of the panel to provide lateral rigidity, further contributing to the system’s styling. As a result, Optima is ideally suited as a perimeter fencing system that is not likely to be the subject of sustained abuse.

Optima is so-called as it delivers the optimum combination of security, appearance, and value. In addition, the variable mesh pattern provides a demarcation fencing system with an attractive appearance.

Optima uses 3 metre wide panels, which reduces the cost of the system as it uses fewer posts, which in turn also makes the system quicker and easier to install.

The Optima system uses clips rather than clamp bars to fix the panels to the posts. This keeps the price down while not compromising quality.

Zaun’s HiSec 358 security fencing system uses the popular ‘358’ welded mesh configuration. The close mesh (76.2 x 12.7mm) formation provides anti-climb properties that ensure it is almost impossible to get fingers within the apertures to scale and climb the fence without climbing aids. The attributes of the 358 mesh configuration make it an excellent solution for security applications.

Each panel is overlapped at the post and fixed and secured by a full-length clamp bar and secure fixing. This fixing method makes levering the panels away from the post very difficult. This ensures a quick and easy installation around the perimeter and protects against would-be intruders.

Due to our leading system technologies and in-house manufacturing, the 358 security mesh system is available up to 7 metres in height in a single panel.

To ensure we can supply a complete, single solution, pedestrian and vehicle access solutions have been carefully designed to address both aesthetic requirements and maintain the same security level of the mesh.

HiSec 358 mesh system is also ideal for integrating with CCTV, PIDs and security topping enhancements such as barb and razor coils, all of which can be supplied as part of a complete turnkey solution.

All of our HiSec systems conform to BS 1722 Part 14 for open mesh panels for quality assurance. Also available for LPS1175 A1 (SR1) – See HiSec SR1 for details.

The HiSec 358 perimeter security fencing system features a post and clamp bar configuration, providing a simple and easy installation method. Supplied with through bolts, washers and nuts and installed using either power or hand tools.

Note: For CPNI, the maximum change of direction is 45°. A flange is welded at the post at 45°, or a post with two welded flanges at 22.5°.

Sloping Ground

Panels can be stepped as required on the post. On steeper gradients, it is recommended that taller panels are either part-buried or additional posts are used. Panels can also be sloped within the tolerances of the panel to post fixing.
