Alexandra will be required to walk, jog or run the 100km route around the area of outstanding natural beauty.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/embed?mid=11iTiEhRbwTYeS4aoBQscWgdNM3e-D6Nb\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>Who are you raising money for?<\/h2>\n<p>Alexandra and her <a title=\"Boro\u2019s Friend unveils new 3G AGP on Teesside\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/football-foundation-fencing\/\">friend<\/a> Josephine are raising money for The \u2018Alzheimer\u2019s Society\u2019 charity. Alzheimer\u2019s Society is transforming the <a title=\"Mapping the threat landscape for 2017\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/blog\/mapping-threat-landscape-2017\/\">landscape<\/a> of dementia forever. Until the day a cure is found, creating a society where those affected by dementia feel supported and live happy lives is of great importance. Great importance to those who unfortunately have dementia and to their loved ones.<\/p>\n<h2>Who is The Alzheimers Society?<\/h2>\n<p>Dementia is the <a title=\"UK\u2019s biggest prison on verge of full capacity\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/prison-security-fences\/\">UK\u2019s biggest<\/a> killer. Someone develops it every three minutes, and there\u2019s currently no cure. We know it is scary facing up to it, but we must confront our time&#8217;s biggest health and social care challenge.<\/p>\n<p>The Alzheimer\u2019s Society is facing dementia head-on. Whether you\u2019re a fundraiser, donor, partner, or affected by dementia in any way, they are working with volunteers to build a movement. Inspired by your voices, leading the way in support, society and <a title=\"Richard smashes boxing target for cancer research\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/charity-boxing\/\">research<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Why The Peak District Challenge?<\/h2>\n<p>Alexandra and Josephine decided to sign up for this challenge to raise money for a cause very close to both their hearts. Unfortunately, Alexandra&#8217;s grandad passed away early this year with Alzheimer\u2019s, and Josephine\u2019s Grandad currently suffers.<\/p>\n<p>Alexandra said<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>We are doing this challenge for our Grandads. My own Grandad was one of my best friends, sadly he passed away earlier this year after suffering with Alzheimer&#8217;s. My Grandad spent his professional life in the armed forces and fitness was a priority and passion of his \u2013 he would have seen this mammoth challenge as a bit of fun!
