Zaun<\/a>\u2018s BowTop Playground Railings are an attractive system often used around play areas. Zaun\u2019s BowTop Playground Fencing is manufactured to\u00a0RoSPA<\/a>\u00a0guidelines and\u00a0BS 1722 part 9<\/a>\u00a0compliant to make it as safe as possible.<\/p>\n

The nature of the BowTop playground railings system means that parents have an unhindered view of their children in the\u00a0play area<\/a>, and the system itself means that children can play safely. All of the bars and \u2018bows\u2019 are spaced to minimise the chance of wrist or neck trap occurring.<\/p>\n

The vertical bars are tough for children to climb and help ensure they stay in the\u00a0play area<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Available in standard panels from stock or bespoke panels can be manufactured to non-standard length and raked and radiused to suit individual requirements.<\/p>\n

Available in two heights, 1.0m and 1.2m. Each railing is supplied with panels, posts, stepping cleats and security fixings. Supplied hot-dip galvanised to\u00a0BS EN ISO 1461<\/a>\u00a0and optional Polyester Powder Coated.<\/p>\n

All\u00a0Zaun<\/a>\u00a0posts\/panels\/gates and painted auxiliary components (for example, clamp-bars, slide bolts etc.) benefit from a protective zinc layer and electrostatically applied polyester\u00a0powder coating<\/a>\u00a0to BS1722 p16. Care is taken with pre-treatment to ensure sound adhesion between the zinc and paint layers. In a UK C1 environment, as defined in\u00a0ISO 12944 p2<\/a>, this should ensure a useful life expectancy of the fence of at least 15-20 years. Life expectancy in all environments can be extended by maintaining the fencing with regular washing. Useful life will be reduced if the fencing is damaged. Any coating damage should be repaired to reduce the effect on useful life.<\/p>\n

Enhanced painting systems such as marine coatings<\/a> are also available for improved life expectancy in C2-C5M environments.<\/p>\n

Playground Railings Posts & Fixings<\/h2>\n

The Bowtop Play railing system features a post and stepping cleat configuration, providing a simple and easy installation<\/a> method. Supplied with Cup Square Bolts & Shear Nuts and installed using either power or hand tools.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Playground Railings Installed on Sloping Ground<\/h2>\n

Panels can be stepped as required on the post. Where gradients exceed 1:16, it is recommended that the stepping cleats are adjusted to suit the gradient as required. Panels can also be sloped to the following gradients, within the tolerance of the post section:<\/p>\n

Bowtop Play Railings Variations<\/h2>\n

Playground Gates<\/h2>\n

Pedestrian gates are single leaf 1.2m wide (or width to suit), framed in a 50mm x 50mm RHS with Bowtop Play style panels within the gate frame, with slide latch and slow closer. Gate supplied with 2 x suitable gate posts.<\/p>\n

Vehicle access gates<\/a> are double leaf (single leaf vehicle gates available) 3.0m wide (or width to suit), framed in 50mm x 50mm RHS, with Bowtop Play style panels within the gate frame, with drop bolts and slide latch. Gate supplied with 2 x suitable gate posts.<\/p>\n
