It is split into three distinct sections: Western, Central and Eastern.<\/p>\n<p>Work has already begun on the Western section, with phase 1 being an upgrade of the line between Oxford and Bicester in a collaboration between Network <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/norwich-assembly-house\/\" title=\"Railings provide edge to Norwich Assembly House transformation\">Rail<\/a> and Chiltern Railways and connection of the railway to the Chiltern main line Bicester with the construction of 1km of the new railway.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, the down line permanent way was connected near to the M40 road bridge. It re-established the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/zaun-launches-barcode-railings\/\" title=\"Zaun launches barcode railings\">rail<\/a> connection between Bicester and Oxford for the first time since removing the existing single track a year ago.<\/p>\n<p>Zaun has supplied 825 metres of 3m-high <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/products\/hisec-super-6-358\/\" title=\"HiSec Super 6 CPNI Approved Fencing\">HiSec Super6 mesh fencing<\/a> panels to Wildside Ltd, a local contractor who specialises in vegetation clearance, fencing and environmental work.<\/p>\n<p>Wildside has been working on clearing trees and fencing for 18 months in collaboration with joint venture Buckingham Group Carillion on the line between Bicester and Oxford, where the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/blog\/apprentice-fencing\/\" title=\"Zaun fence backdrop to Apprentice winners&#8217; Orbit abseil\">Zaun fencing<\/a> has gone alongside the enhanced freight facilities at MoD Bicester.<\/p>\n<p><a data-wpil=\"url\" data-wpil=\"url\" data-wpil=\"url\" data-wpil=\"url\" data-wpil=\"url\" data-wpil=\"url\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/\">Zaun&#8217;s<\/a> <a data-wpil=\"url\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/products\/hisec-super-6-358\/\">HiSec Super<\/a> fencing was developed in consultation with the Home Office as its premier high-security system for sensitive sites. Super8 and Super10 have received <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/lps-1175-fencing\/\" title=\"Zaun perimeter systems secure LPS ratings\">Security Rating<\/a> certification to LPS1175 and entry into the Red Book from the Buildings Research Establishment.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to links to the Chiltern main line, East-West <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/residential-railings\/\" title=\"Caspian Wharf capped off with stylish railings\">Rail<\/a> will link to the Great Western mainline at Didcot Parkway, the West Coast mainline at Bletchley and the Midland mainline at Bedford Midland.<\/p>\n<p>In time, from Bedford, it will connect East to Cambridge, Ipswich and Norwich using part of the former Varsity Line.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rail perimeter systems manufacturer Zaun has supplied high-security fencing for the first phase of construction on the East-West Rail Link.
