{"id":6780,"date":"2017-03-22T13:42:01","date_gmt":"2017-03-22T13:42:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/?p=6780"},"modified":"2022-01-06T10:14:57","modified_gmt":"2022-01-06T10:14:57","slug":"water-supply-security","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/water-supply-security\/","title":{"rendered":"SharpView solution secures London water supply"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-26078 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/media\/2017\/03\/Water-Supply-Security-CCTV-Thames-Water-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Water Supply Security\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/media\/2017\/03\/Water-Supply-Security-CCTV-Thames-Water-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/media\/2017\/03\/Water-Supply-Security-CCTV-Thames-Water-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/media\/2017\/03\/Water-Supply-Security-CCTV-Thames-Water-640x480.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/media\/2017\/03\/Water-Supply-Security-CCTV-Thames-Water.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The integrity of the freshwater supply to London has been stepped up with an array of cameras, high-security fencing, vibration sensors and razor wire.<\/p>\n<p>The risk to the water supply forced the UK&#8217;s largest water and waste company to further enhance the security along one side of the perimeter of reservoirs in south London, where a public footpath has provided easier access for trespassers and committed graffiti \u2018vandals\u2019 to enter.<\/p>\n<p>The Zaun Group had already installed <a href=\"\/products\/cpni-enhanced-fencing\/\">ArmaWeave<\/a> and razor topping around the whole site, so <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thameswater.co.uk\">Thames Water<\/a> asked software security expert EyeLynx to design a solution based on its SharpView CCTV system to protect the site.<\/p>\n<p>Zaun Group companies EyeLynx and <a href=\"https:\/\/binns-fencing.com\">Binns<\/a> installed two huge temporary CCTV masts with high-performance PTZ cameras, thermal cameras with video analytics, horn speakers and high-powered WiFi to link the two with a SharpView Networked Video Recorder.<\/p>\n<p>CPNI-approved PIDs were also fitted, fully integrated with SharpView, provide the site with a triple layer of electronic security of the highest quality.<\/p>\n<p>The <a title=\"Optimising your alarm system: a four-step guide\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/blog\/optimising-your-alarm-system\/\">system can provide alarms<\/a> and CCTV video evidence. For example, whenever a camera or vibration sensor detects a potential breach of the fence line, the horn speakers can broadcast audio warnings, send alarms to <a title=\"How to hire security personnel who are worthy of your Zaun security system\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zaun.co.uk\/blog\/security-fencing-system\/\" data-wpil=\"url\">security personnel<\/a> and capture video evidence for potential prosecutions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The integrity of the freshwater supply to London has been stepped up with an array of cameras, high-security fencing, vibration sensors and razor wire.
