Zaun\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0recessed MUGA goal end with over-panel is a long-lasting goal unit integrated into the fence line and ideal for use as a MUGA goal end solution. A fully functioning goal mouth with a crossbar allows football to be played at a competitive level. The goals can be manufactured to suit your requirements; wider and higher for urban Multi-Use Games Areas (MUGAs<\/a>), smaller for junior schools. The recessed MUGA goal unit is available with or without a basketball unit, which can be placed on the fence line or can be placed on the fence line or can be mounted on a steel arm. This allows for a more professional game to take place as there is more space under the hoop.<\/p>\n

The recessed goal is available with a selection of mesh options, including our Duo Sports fencing system, manufactured from either dual horizontal 6mm wires sandwiching single 5mm vertical wires (Duo 6<\/a>\u00a0Sports) or 8mm wires sandwiching single 6mm vertical wires (Duo 8<\/a>\u00a0Sports). This produces a 50mm x 200mm mesh pattern that is strong and vandal resistant and offers the best value.<\/p>\n

Alternatively, recess goals can also be manufactured using our Super Rebound<\/a> fencing system, which has been developed to offer a more attractive, practical and community-friendly alternative to standard wooden or plywood rebound boards. The Super Rebound<\/a> 8 fencing system uses twin horizontal 8mm wires, and the Rebound 6 system uses twin horizontal 6mm wires. The lower 1.2 metres of the fence has a 50mm x 66.6mm mesh<\/a> pattern. This robust rebound mesh<\/a> acts as a wooden rebound board in terms of quality but has many advantages over wooden boards.<\/p>\n

Other mesh options, including tennis and hockey<\/a>, are also available upon request.<\/p>\n

Typically one of the major stumbling blocks during the planning of sports<\/a> courts is the noise during play. Our sports fencing<\/a> systems have been developed to overcome the rattle that so many residents object to. Every 200mm to the lower 1.2m high impact area ensures minimum movement between the panel and post with fixings. Furthermore, each fixing uses a synthetic\u00a0EPDM<\/a>\u00a0insert to insulate the panel from the post and reduce noise by circa 29%.<\/p>\n

The recessed goal is available with or without a basketball unit<\/a>, placed on the fence line or mounted on a steel arm. Designed to be a continuation of the perimeter fence of the sports<\/a> area or may also be used to form part of a goal wall. Available in various heights, up to 4.5m with a recess which can be defined, depending on what is required to be stored.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

Finish<\/h2>\n

All\u00a0Zaun<\/a>\u00a0posts\/panels\/gates and painted auxiliary components (for example, clamp-bars, slide bolts etc.) benefit from a protective zinc layer and electrostatically applied polyester\u00a0powder coating<\/a>\u00a0to BS1722 p16. Care is taken with pre-treatment to ensure sound adhesion between the zinc and paint layers. In a UK C1 environment, as defined in\u00a0ISO 12944 p2<\/a>, this should provide a useful life expectancy of the fence of at least 15-20 years. Life expectancy in all environments can be extended by maintaining the fencing with regular washing. Useful life will be reduced if the fencing is damaged. Any coating damage should be repaired to minimise the effect on useful life.<\/p>\n

Enhanced painting systems such as marine coatings<\/a> are also available for improved life expectancy in C2-C5M environments.<\/p>\n

The double wire mesh fencing system features a post, EPDM rubber inserts<\/a>\u00a0and clamp bar configuration, providing a simple and easy installation method. Posts are available in different lengths to accommodate panel heights and ground conditions. Additional variations are also available: Wall fixing, cranked posts<\/a> or base plated. Cranked panels.
