Zaun\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0Fence Safety Channel or Capping Strip is also known to be used on low-level fencing to protect people from the sharp edges of the welded mesh panels. For example, our safety channel is usually used on our range\u00a0Duo Sports<\/a>\u00a0&\u00a0Spectator Railing<\/a>\u00a0fencing around pitches courts, and\u00a0MUGAs<\/a>\u00a0commonly have fencing around 1m in height.<\/p>\n

Supplied in lengths of 2.5m (the same width of a standard panel), the safety channel edging strip is easily applied to the edge of the fencing.<\/p>\n

Fence Safety Channel Finish<\/h2>\n

All\u00a0Zaun<\/a>\u00a0posts\/panels\/gates and painted auxiliary components (for example, clamp-bars, slide bolts etc.) benefit from a protective zinc layer and electrostatically applied polyester powder coating to BS1722 p16. Care is taken with pre-treatment to ensure sound adhesion between the zinc and paint layers. In a UK C1 environment, as defined in\u00a0ISO 12944 p2<\/a>, this should ensure a useful life expectancy of the fence of at least 15-20 years. Life expectancy in all environments can be extended by maintaining the fencing with regular washing. Useful life will be reduced if the fencing is damaged<\/a>. Any coating damage should be repaired to reduce the effect on useful life.<\/p>\n
